This version of the game is for Mac, but it is also available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS Vita. The game has great graphics, resembling older classic SNES games, and a soundtrack that makes it even greater. Its challenging and filled with puzzles and adventure.
At some point other resolutions will be implemented, but we'll have to wait and see.Īnd another thing: When you start the game and the graphics are squashed into one corner of the screen, hit Alt-Enterfor fullscreen use. Undertale for Mac is an RPG game where you fight monsters in the underworld. Sadly, the next selectable resolution is 1024x768which is a tad too much for the Pi4.
That being said, the software renderer looks like vanilla but instead of 320x200 in dosbox you can easily run 640x480 resolutions in this port. Maybe it can be optimized but I'm not capable of doing that. You can use OpenGL, but although the renderer looks very nice, there are some slowdowns at some spots. If you find yourself needing to modify the build script for Shockolate itself, CMakeLists.txt is the place to look into. The following CMake options are supported in the build process:ĮNABLE_SDL2 - use system or bundled SDL2 (ON/BUNDLED, default BUNDLED)ĮNABLE_SOUND - enable sound support (requires SDL2_mixer, ON/BUNDLED/OFF, default is BUNDLED)ĮNABLE_FLUIDSYNTH - enable FluidSynth MIDI support (ON/BUNDLED/OFF, default is BUNDLED)ĮNABLE_OPENGL - enable OpenGL support (ON/OFF, default ON) Linux/Mac: build_deps.sh or the CI build scripts in osx-linux Windows: build_win32.sh or build_win64.sh (Git Bash and MinGW recommended)
Taken from the repository: Building from source code And I mean every sound effect, even some music as well The TTS voices have been manipulated in such as way as to make it sound close to the original sound effects, so it isn't just some voice saying DAMAGE SOUND or something. Download the latest repository from and compile away using the instructions. It's Undertale, but every SFX is replaced by text-to-speech voices. It received some fixes there, so I would suggest going that way instead of compiling it yourself.Īs for Schockolate I remember it being quite easy. Pentragram is outdated now, as it was merged into ScummVM. said in Suggestions for I know this post is old but is there any chance you could share how you got Pentagram and Schockolate to run? I am sure there is hundreds of programs you could attempt with this box86, apparently it works with wine, but I've never used wine and have no idea how it works.Įdit: They have a compatibility list of sorts of some games they've tried that have and haven't worked. Undertale (working, although it's centered small in the screen and F4 doesn't turn it into fullscreen like on a desktop, again you'd need xboxdrv to map the controls) Shovel Knight (works great with my xbox controller)
World of Goo (need a mouse unless you use xboxdrv) (and I popped in a new topic this morning, we'll see if anyone who was messing with startx before has some options that make it work) The game plays as you can hear the music but the video isn't played back. The games I'm trying to get working BabaIsYou & Undertale both seem to require startx. Yeah it didn't help me adding tvservice unfortunately.
